Ballet is a formalized form of dance with its origins in the Italian Renaissance court. As its popularity in France increased during the 17th century, Ballet began to slowly transform into a professional art, incorporating more challenging movements in its execution. Embodying grace and elegance in its performance, Ballet is notable for its unique presentation and vocabulary such as pointe, plié, and turn-out. Throughout the introductory to advance levels, students will learn about proper body alignment, gain muscular strength and flexibility, and develop precision in their dance movements.
